Zombieland
This is part of the opening scene to the film zombieland. The credits are shown in red which represents danger, love, evil and death. In here we can see they mean 3 out of the 4, love not being shown. The reason why they could have chose red may be reflecting on the evilness that is within this film.
Editing
The whole clip seems to be shown in slow motion apart from a moment at the very start, when a rule is said about fastening seat belts. The effect of having the clip shown in slow motion helps to emphasis what is going on at that particular time. There are also fades or slow cuts when it is showing a different location of people being attacked. After my first time watching the opening sequence the fades helped relaxed me as it fluently moved through and it meant that with the slow motion i got to look at every detail of that particular shot that caught my eye.
Cinematography
We have a birds eye view of the woman who flew out of her car showing us that she appears helpless and insignificant whilst the audience appears in power and godlike.
A low angle shot is shown as the guy jumps of a building to get away from the zombie trying to attack him. Low angle shots make the character appear more powerful, which makes us think was it the zombie who was the one with the most power or the guy who managed to escape. Many wideshots are used which helps show the audience what one character is about to face and what is going on around them and only we the audience know this. When the audience knows a possible outcome they sometimes can feel incharge.
Mise-en-scene
All different costumes are used; the zombies are shown clearly with blood on their bodies mainly dripping from their mouth. Other people wearing workwear, suits or casual clothing with no blood are the humans trying to escape from the zombies who are chasing them to feed on them. With many of the characters the props they have are to do with their work whether its a suitcase, a fire hose/engine or a police shield.
Sound
Non-diegetic sound was used and all the diegetic sound that was seen was overhead by a soundtrack by Metallica For whom the bell tolls.
